We will build an AI agent, AI4OD (AI for optimal design of experimental studies in education), for researchers to design well-powered and cost-efficient experimental studies in education. AI4OD Agent will use the ODR package for computation. With embedded empirical design parameter values (e.g., effect sizes, intraclass correlation coefficients, and proportions of variance explained by covariates) in PreK-12 settings, AI4OD will help researchers design experimental studies through conversation with the AI agent. AI4OD will have the following features to ensure replicability and transparency.
defensible and automatic parameter value selection,
automatic sample size calculation,
replicable R code and URL links (with the R Shiny app and selected parameter values),
report generation and export.
